Together for better drinking water quality through education and solutions!
After more than 20 years, a new version of the German Drinking Water Ordinance will be presented to the Bundesrat for adoption in the spring of 2023. This comprehensively revised regulation implements the changes to the European Drinking Water Directive, which has been in force since 2021. The DVGW considers the existing draft to be appropriate for the industry’s requirements for modern drinking water management.
In addition to the PFAS limit value of the EU drinking water directive, four stricter PFAS limit values are defined in Germany. Accordingly, 20 nanograms of PFAS per liter of drinking water may be allowed. Households that want complete protection from PFAS must continue to rely on individual water filters. Here is a selection of suitable water filters.
