The BE AIR6 features a switchable ozone filter stage. Ozone (O3) is known as one of the strongest oxidizing agents. It can effectively kill many different types of viruses (hepatitis, coronavirus, influenza, SARS, H1N1, etc.) and is used for air disinfection. Active oxygen can be helpful for respiratory illnesses; thanks to its strong oxidizability, it can decompose formaldehyde, benzene, VOCs, and other harmful gases, and eliminate odors.
Ozone is unstable under natural conditions. It rapidly decomposes into oxygen. Its half-life is 20-30 minutes. It can increase the oxygen content in the air, as well as freshen and purify it.
