IHHT induces short-term oxidative stress, especially during the hypoxic phase. H2 has a protective effect against oxidative stress. This means that the two methods can complement each other if the dosage and sequence are correct. First, apply the stimulus (IHHT), then the protection (H2) – this way, mitochondria and the antioxidant system benefit optimally.

(There are no established clinical studies specifically on the sequence of IHHT + H2/Brown’s gas; the recommendations are based on physiological principles and anecdotal evidence.)
