Backflow protection is provided by BestElements Directflow reverse osmosis filter systems WA3, WA7, and WA9.

The risk of backflow generally only exists with filter systems featuring an outdated design with a storage tank and permeate pump in multi-stage filters.

BestElements Directflow systems operate without a tank and meet the requirements of DIN EN 1717 Category 2, thus preventing backflow under normal operating conditions.

The ultrapure water section is protected by multiple check valves.

The ultrapure water section is permanently pressurized.

The wastewater section is protected by multiple check valves.

For purely physical reasons, wastewater cannot enter the ultrapure water system.

Optional:

A hollow fiber membrane can be installed for critical locations.

A separate outlet can be installed for critical wastewater situations.
