The aim of the conference is to translate scientific knowledge about hydrogen into practical applications.<\/p>\n<p>With <strong>46 scientific contributions<\/strong> from <strong>28 countries<\/strong>, the conference highlights the increasing internationalization of hydrogen research. Researchers and physicians from 28 countries gathered to discuss the latest findings on a topic that is attracting increasing attention \u2013 <strong>molecular hydrogen (H<sub>2<\/sub>)<\/strong> as a therapeutic agent, protective factor, and aid to regeneration.<\/p>\n<p>Under the theme <em>\u201cScience creates Practice, Practice shines Science\u201d<\/em>, leading scientists demonstrated how hydrogen is making its way from basic research into clinical application. The results are impressive: H<sub>2<\/sub> acts <strong>antioxidatively, anti-inflammatorily, cell-protectively, and metabolically regulatory<\/strong> \u2013 with outstanding tolerability.<\/p>\n<h2>Broad Range of Medical Applications<\/h2>\n<p>Special focus was placed on <strong>cardiovascular diseases<\/strong>. Professor <strong>Motoaki Sano<\/strong> (Yamaguchi University) presented clinical studies showing that hydrogen gas inhalation after cardiac arrest significantly improved survival rates and neurological recovery. H<sub>2<\/sub> also showed clear benefits in cases of <strong>hypertension, kidney disease, and dialysis patients<\/strong>. In the newly developed <em>Dual Hydrogen Dialysis<\/em> method, both H<sub>2<\/sub>-enriched dialysis water and hydrogen inhalation are used \u2013 a procedure that measurably reduces inflammation and oxidative stress.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Neuroscience<\/strong> also benefits from these findings: hydrogen provides protection in <strong>Alzheimer\u2019s, stroke, and Parkinson\u2019s disease<\/strong> by neutralizing harmful free radicals and improving mitochondrial function. Encouraging results were also presented in <strong>oncology<\/strong> \u2013 particularly through the combination of immunotherapy and hydrogen inhalation in patients with advanced cancer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cancer Treatment:<\/strong> In combination with immunotherapy, hydrogen inhalation (AIIM method by Dr. Junji Akagi) showed improved tolerability and quality of life in stage IV cancer patients.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, researchers reported positive effects on <strong>lung diseases and inflammation, sepsis, diabetes<\/strong>, and the <strong>metabolic syndrome<\/strong>. Hydrogen can reduce inflammatory responses, improve vascular function, and stabilize energy metabolism \u2013 all factors that contribute to the prevention of chronic diseases. Hydrogen has proven to be a protective factor in sepsis, pneumonia, and age-related inflammatory processes due to its anti-inflammatory properties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Metabolic Syndrome and Diabetes:<\/strong> Studies indicated normalization of lipid metabolism, improved insulin sensitivity, and reduced inflammatory markers.<\/p>\n<h2>Regeneration, Sports, and Quality of Life<\/h2>\n<p>Another focus was on sports medicine. Professor <strong>Michal Botek<\/strong> (Palack\u00fd University, Czech Republic) presented studies showing that <strong>hydrogen-rich water<\/strong> and <strong>H<sub>2<\/sub> inhalation<\/strong> can <strong>accelerate recovery after intensive training, reduce muscle damage, and prevent chronic fatigue<\/strong>. Patients suffering from <strong>rheumatism or post-COVID<\/strong> symptoms also benefited through faster recovery and increased vitality.<\/p>\n<h2>From Medicine to Agriculture<\/h2>\n<p>The applications of hydrogen extend surprisingly far beyond medicine. Professor <strong>Wenbiao Shen<\/strong> (Nanjing Agricultural University) presented the emerging discipline of <strong>\u201cHydrogen Agriculture\u201d<\/strong>: plants grown with H<sub>2<\/sub>-enriched water become more resilient, healthier, and yield higher crops \u2013 with reduced use of pesticides and fertilizers. Even the shelf life of fruits and vegetables can be measurably extended.<\/p>\n<h2>Materials Science as a Key to Precision<\/h2>\n<p>New <strong>\u201cHydrogen Medicine Materials\u201d<\/strong> could be crucial for the future \u2013 specialized biomaterials that release hydrogen in the body in a targeted manner.
